Zoo Camps

Party Parrots

Day Camp for Children entering 3rd and 4th grade
in the 26/27 school year

Watch your camper shift from simple discovery to career exploration and global conservation. These junior keepers will learn specialized skills involved with animal care such as diet preparation and enrichment implementation, helping them to engage with the responsibility it takes to care for wildlife. Campers will explore specific roles like zoo veterinarian, animal trainer, or wildlife biologist through immersive activities. They will hone field researcher skills through programs such as dissecting owl pellets, learning about wildlife tracks, and keeping a field journal throughout the week. Campers will also engage with the more technical side of a zoo by learning about habitat design and engineering, and creating their own habitat design based on what they’ve learned. At the end of the week, your camper will be a conservation advocate, ready to help save endangered species!
